Startups Took the Next Step in the GSAI Program in Stockholm
15 startups from Sweden, Finland, and Estonia gathered in Stockholm for the second sprint of Growth and Scaling Through AI (GSAI) – our international scaleup program. Together with our partners, we focused on practical AI applications and strategic planning to help companies scale faster and more efficiently into new EU markets.
Inspiration and hands-on learning
During the sprint, participants gained insights from leading AI experts such as Theodore Bergqvist (Turbotic), Niclas Johansson (Tenfifty), Peter Kurzwelly, and Dr. Robert A. (Bobby) Bridges (AI Sweden). Their sessions explored scaling with AI, practical implementation, and the importance of AI safety. Startups also took part in hands-on workshops, including the AI Opportunity Mapping Workshop, which helped them identify use cases, prioritize opportunities, and build clear AI roadmaps.
– “The discussions highlighted the power of cross-border collaboration and the importance of turning ambition into action,” said Kalle Magnusson, AI Change Agent at AI Sweden.
– “One of the tools we introduced in this sprint helps organisations build a clear roadmap, prioritise use cases, and align teams around what successful AI adoption really requires,” added Astrid Sjögren, Sector Initiative Manager at AI Sweden.
Tangible results already
The GSAI program is designed to help startups accelerate growth, integrate AI into business models, build international networks, and prepare for EU market expansion. And results are already visible.
– “After just the first sprint in Gävle, several Swedish startups had made tangible progress. One company even secured new international deals by applying AI-driven methods in its business model. This is exactly the kind of fast and effective impact we want GSAI to deliver,” said Jini Nälsen, Project Manager GSAI at Movexum.
