Swedish startups accelerating growth as the GSAI journey continues in Tallinn
Artificial intelligence – an essential driver of growth and competitiveness. For Movexum, supporting startups in harnessing AI for real business impact is at the heart of the international scaleup programme Growth and Scaling Through AI (GSAI). Halfway through the programme for the first batch, we already see strong progress among the startups. New business opportunities and customers across the EU, several ongoing investment rounds, and new hires among the Swedish companies are some of the results. Next up is the third of four sprints – in Tallin, Estonia.
From 22–23 October 2025, Movexum, AI Sweden, Yrityssalo and the Swedish and Finnish participating startups will travel to Tallinn, where Tehnopol will host Sprint 3: Growth Essentials. This sprint focuses on translating AI capability into market traction – through growth hacking, sales strategy, and team productivity. Over the course of two days, participants will work with international experts to sharpen their growth plans and prepare for scale-up execution.
– “More than halfway through the programme, we can already see remarkable progress among the Swedish startups,” says Jini Nälsén, Project Manager and Business Coach at Movexum.
– “All Swedish companies have now integrated AI into their product or business model. Three already have international paying customers, and two are ongoing in implementation. Nearly all are in the middle of investment rounds. Two of them have made new hires some directly linked to their AI initiatives – proving that, contrary to many concerns, AI is creating new jobs. The feedback from participants has been very positive – many say this programme offers a high level of quality and insight”, says Jini.
The GSAI journey began in Gävle, where startups focused on scalability and market readiness, and continued in Stockholm with sessions on responsible AI deployment and roadmap creation. The upcoming sprint in Tallinn marks the third stage, before the programme concludes in Salo, Finland, early next year with Growth Convergence – where founders will refine their scale-up strategies and prepare for investor pitching.
Through the sprints, mentoring, and international collaboration, the participating startups are demonstrating how AI can strengthen both business and society by fostering smarter, more sustainable growth.
Growth and Scaling Through AI (GSAI) is co-funded by the Interreg Central Baltic Programme and aims to support the total of 45 ambitious startups across Sweden, Finland, and Estonia refine AI-powered business models, strengthen growth strategies, and scale into new European markets.
